Want to join me in making a difference?
Dear friends and family,
I was born and raised in a refugee camp in Pokhara, Nepal Dec 16th, 1984. Today I’m blessed and fortunate to live here in Seattle with my family and enjoy the freedom and opportunities of this country. I feel blessed and deeply grateful, and I want to be able to pay it forward to a cause/project that is deeply personal to me. Gifts are traditionally a big part of birthdays. This year, instead of gifts to me, I am requesting my friends and family to donate to a non-profit organization near and dear to my heart, the “Tibetan Association of Washington.” I am honored to serve as the President of the Tibetan Association of Washington. We are doing a fundraising event for building a Community Center this New Year's Eve. It is a center where my kids and other Tibetans will learn and get to gather as a community and preserve our Tibetan language, culture and heritage for future generations. The Center will also be a place for them to hold important religious & cultural events, educational seminars & workshops, and social events.
My goal is to cover the cost of the hall rental fee of $2,000 for the fundraising event on NYE. Please help me reach my goal. I look forward to your support, and thank you for being a part of this important journey for me.
