Little Baby Wyatt Is Here
Donation protected
This little doll is Wyatt. He arrived VERY early!! 12 weeks early. He came into the world at 28 weeks and 2 pounds 10.3 ounces. He is 4 days old today (1/30/2017) and is a fighter!
His Mom and Dad (my sister Ashley and brother in law Nate) are up against many challenges. Wyatt is their first baby and as you can imagine this came as a total curveball.

On Sunday January 29th, my sister became very ill. She could not hold any food or water down and was very nauseous. After hours of battling the porcelain thorn they decided to go to the emergency room for what she thought was a really bad flu or food poisoning. They would soon find out that was not the case and she was actually in labor.
3 scary hours after arriving to the hospital, at 6:58am, Wyatt James Matson entered this world and was almost immediately taken out of his mothers’ hands. He was rushed in an ambulance from Fairview Ridges to the U of M Masonic Children’s Hospital and brought to the NICU with his Dad. 12 hours later, his mother was finally able to join them after going through the longest day of her life. She also took an ambulance as standard protocol. He will be staying there for about 3 months while he grows and develops!

They are going to have all sorts of expenses and bills that will need to be covered. Think of the NICU as a REALLY expensive hotel, without the room service. They live in Farmington and have to drive back and forth, sometimes multiple times a day, to Minneapolis to be with their son. Gas is expensive and parking is not free. On top of this, Mom and Dad had to leave work early (unpaid). This was an expense they did and could not have planned for so money is tight. They already have a mortgage, car payments, student loans and tons of other expenses. I can’t imagine how helpless they feel.
Ashley has always gone out of her way to help others. Most of her days off from the salon are spent doing peoples hair! I myself am forever in debt to her for all of the free haircuts she has given me. Nate is the same way and has literally given me the shirt off his back before.
We are grateful for any help we can get. Even if you can only give a dollar, that would be wonderful. If you can’t donate, we understand. Please just share this to help spread the word.
Thanks for stopping in and if you donated or shared, thank you so much. Anything helps and means more to us than you know.
