Hi, my name is Bridget and this is my story.

My daughter Laura was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in May 2022. Laura has 2 young kids who were 2 and 3 at the time. Thankfully Laura recently got the all clear but it was a long hard road, she was very unwell, had to give up work and struggled to look after the kids. I gave up work to become Laura’s carer and care for the kids. I wouldn’t change this for the world but unfortunately this affected us financially, we were hoping to get back on track for the new year but cancer has hit us again.

I was diagnosed with cancer in November 2023. I have a large tumor (21x18x11) between my ovaries and fallopian tubes. My only option is to go for an operation on the 2nd of January other than that I would have very little time. I have been told that this operation is very risky and I might not make it through. The doctors are going in blind as my tumor is so big, a biopsy will be done when the surgeon goes in but as they don’t know what they are dealing with, they don’t know if or how much time I will have left if I do make it through the surgery, or if this can even be cured.

I am doing a Go.Fundme to ask if you can help my family and I, as with everything we have been through, we are struggling financially.

This could be my last Christmas and I would like to make the most of it with my family.
