Jesse's Courageous Fight

On June 13, 2021, our dad was diagnosed with Liposarcoma Cancer. He's been through radiation, and 2 major surgeries to remove his tumors. On July 27th, 2023, his 2nd tumor was removed. In less than 2 months after his surgery, a 3rd tumor was found and was larger than the first 2 tumors. Liposarcoma is a rare cancer and in our dad's case, we've learned that it's aggressive and rapidly grows in multiple parts of his body. Dad's medical care has been transferred to a team on Oahu who specializes in Sarcoma and who is affiliated with MD Anderson in Houston, Texas. Our dad started his third cycle of chemo therapy on Thanksgiving day. After a couple days into the cycle, our dad received news that the chemo has not been working and all 3 tumors are still drastically growing. Dad's doctors are re-evaluating his case and have reached out to MD Anderson to advise and assist in the next step.

In addition, because all 3 tumors are growing in the same area, it is pressing down on his right kidney. His kidney cannot drain naturally even with the stint that was previously inserted. The main concern now is to save his kidney because it is fully enlarged. A neph tube has been temporarily inserted into his kidney to help it drain, thus causing major pains and discomfort for our dad.

Our dad has been a fighter since day 1 and continues to be positive and have hope. He is in the fight for his life and we are asking for your payers and help to support him in this battle against cancer.
