Hi there, we are a small group of friends in Northampton fundraising to seek support in our efforts to welcome a displaced family from Venezuela, and help them successfully resettle in our community. We are working with Welcome.US as part of a government program that allows Americans to privately sponsor displaced people from particular countries.

Reina, her husband, and children, ages 6 and 4, fled to Colombia when the economic crisis in Venezuela forced them to flee their home due to soaring living costs and scarcity of essentials.

Our goal is to raise $3,000 per person, totaling $12,000, to aid their initial settlement in our community until they secure employment.

We've been moved by the heartbreaking situation in Venezuela, where the living conditions are dire, and leadership appears indifferent to the suffering of its people. By privately sponsoring Reina's family, we hope to offer them a lifeline to safety and a chance to rebuild their lives.
