Jack Bahen Cancer Treatment
Donation protected
Dear Governors Club Community,
A member of the Golf Course Maintenance Team, Jack Bahen, has been undergoing treatment for Stage 3 CT4 Colon Cancer. At the young age of 25, not only has the physical toll been extraordinary, the mental toll has been excruciating.
Jack has had surgery to remove the tumor and thankfully the tumor was caught early enough as it did not metastasize. In his road to recovery, he is on an infusion and chemo cycle that spans 21 days and then repeats under the care of doctors at UNC. In addition, he wears a colostomy bag which limits his day to day activity and does not afford him the opportunity to go to work. Upon completion and clearance of the infusion and chemo cycle, his next step would be another surgery in the spring to hopefully eliminate the colostomy bag.
Jack loves working at Governors Club as he said that "the feeling of family and team is truly prevalent every day at the club." We are asking for your help in supporting Jack on this journey as he isn't able to work during this time. He is truly an outstanding person and teammate with a strong and positive outlook on life.
We also ask that you share this link throughout your circle of friends as the support means the world to Jack and his family at this difficult time.
