Help For Disabled Father and Disabled Child

Hi, my name is Stacey Hensley, and I created this Go Fund Me to help my father and teenage brother.

Our mother (my father's wife) passed away early on the morning of November 23rd, 2023, after a lengthy, intense fight with Stage-4, Grade-2 Metastatic Neuroendocrine Cancer of the G.I. system. My mom's name was Ursula, see her obituary here.

My father and brother are both disabled and survive on what little income they have.

With the funeral costs, my dad's cost for monthly rent being sky high, the high cost of electricity and gas service, the high cost of food, and all of the other human needs my dad and brother need to pay for, I am asking the public to please contribute what you can afford.

Year-to-date, my mother's insurance is showing that all the hospital admissions, billing from medical providers at the hospitals who treated her, and all the other medical costs billed to the insurance is somewhere around or over 2.5 million dollars. The insurance has so far only approved over 164K of those charges, and my father's share of the bills is 13K, which could rise to a higher cost, depending on how much of the 2.5 million the insurance approves in the end, and how much my mother's state medicaid pays.

My father is still awaiting the invoice from the funeral home, but has a payment arrangement in-place with the funeral home.

None of these costs takes into account the amount of money my father will have to pay for a cremation niche at the cemetery for our mother, which is said to be several thousand dollars (He was quoted up to $9,000 by the cemetery)

My father has done all the financial cuts he can without cutting human needs.
