It takes a Village - No Hungry Child in Bigfork!
Bigfork ACES is near and dear to my heart, and I know to so many others in and outside of our community.
I am providing an up to $5,000 matching donation for those that can partner with us to help with this incredible need. Even $1.00 makes a difference if we can all collectively share this mission.
Cathy Hay, site coordinator, who began Bigfork ACES in 2007, and has worked tirelessly for years to keep the program funded, notes below:
"Bigfork ACES is a non-profit after school and summer program that serves over 150 Bigfork youth each year. They have been serving hungry kids ages 5-15 for over 10 years. Funding has always been provided through the Department of Health and Human Services and has allowed ACES to serve healthy meals with fresh fruits and vegetables.
Recently the rules have changed, and ACES is no longer eligible for reimbursable meals. We are in our second year without funding and the rising cost of groceries and wages has made it a struggle to meet the need. Currently we are serving 45 meals a day with a monthly expense of about $1800. So far in 2023 our kitchen has put out close to 10,000 meals for hungry children. ACES provides services and free meals to all children regardless of their ability to pay. Our mission is to “enrich today to impact tomorrow."
Please share and thank you in advance for your partnership!
