The mission for the Healthy Hive Initiative is to create a healthy, supportive, community of business owners, consumers & service providers standing behind 3 common goals in the hopes of modernizing ‘beauty’ & supporting change.
THE MINDSET:
- Express yourself (& allow your clients to) in the ways you choose without the pressure of ‘ideal beauty standards.’
- Redefine the term ‘ideal beauty standards.’ A healthy technique & mindset towards any service (or lack thereof) should be the only standard we feel pressure to meet.
- Promote mental health & body positivity. Healthy looks different on everyone but it’s always beautiful.
SUPPORT & UNITY
- There’s no more room for hate, cattiness & cruelty in this industry.
- Pro-kindness. Anti-gossip.
- Support your peers without fear or negative competition.
- Reject all forms of prejudice & discrimination. Serve with open arms & kindness, regardless of your personal opinions.
GROWTH
- Progress is all we can expect from anyone. Adjust your expectations to account for growth by learning through our (& others!) mistakes.
- Small acts make a big impact. Your words, your actions & your work make an impression on those around you.
