Dear Friends,
And Friends of Friends,
From War-Torn Gaza to Hope in Egypt – A Journey of Survival and Resilience
Hello, my name is Hazem, I’m 29 years old a dedicated software engineer and project manager with over 10 years of experience in the IT sector. Before the recent war in Gaza, I was working remotely with a company in Europe, building a promising career and future.
But in an instant, everything changed

Escaping the Unimaginable
Like thousands of others in Gaza, we were forced to flee our home under relentless bombings, the sound of rockets, and the constant fear for our lives. We escaped with nothing but our passports and hope.
The home I grew up in built by my parents over 40 years was destroyed.
My newly purchased home, a symbol of independence, turned to rubble less than a year after I moved in.
We left behind memories, dreams, and everything we owned.
But the most painful part wasn't the loss of property , it was the fear of not being able to protect my family
My Family is My Priority
My elderly mother and my younger brother Karam, whom we lovingly call "the little Picasso", are my whole world. Karam is in middle school and is an exceptionally talented young artist and graphic designer. Even in the darkest times, his art has been a light for many reflecting hope, beauty, and resilience.
My dream is simple: to give Karam the opportunity to continue his education, nurture his creativity, and live in safety.

Starting Over in Egypt
Thanks to your support and prayers, we managed to evacuate to Egypt but we’re now facing the overwhelming challenge of rebuilding our lives from scratch.
We’re currently in a foreign country with limited resources, no permanent housing, and ongoing uncertainty. Every day is a test of strength.
How You Can Help
We’re raising $30,000 to:
✅ Secure stable housing in Egypt
✅ Cover essential living expenses (food, utilities, healthcare)
✅ Provide quality education for Karam
✅ Invest in basic equipment so I can resume remote work and support my family
✅ Ensure long-term safety and well-being for our family
So far, thanks to generous friends and supporters like you, we’ve raised $8,000 — but we still have a long way to go
️ About Karam – The Young Artist with a Big Heart
Karam's art tells a story — not just of war, but of imagination, peace, and childhood dreams. Even amid rubble and destruction, he continued to draw.
Your support means he gets to grow up as a free, safe, and inspired artist — not as a victim of war.
