36K Swim for Good: From Oman to Guatemala!

Dear family, friends and fitness aficionados!

OK, so I'm not exactly swimming from Oman to Guatemala, but from February 8th through February 13th, 2022, I will be doing a 36 Kilometer open water swim in Oman.

For this epic swim, I am raising awareness and fundraising for my friend Dr. Francisco Mendez and his San Pedro Comprehensive Health Project in Guatemala. They are in urgent need of an ultrasound machine! A year ago, I became extremely sick visiting Guatemala.

Dr. Francisco and his 10-bed, donor-funded community clinic in rural San Pedro gave me the most quality, empathetic medical care I have EVER experienced. This clinic improves the health of Mayan families in the rural Lake Atitlán region through health education, healthcare access, and community development. In the highlands of rural Guatemala, 80% of the Mayan population lives in poverty.

They urgently need an ultrasound machine, specifically for pregnant women where currently patients travel two hours to get an ultrasound. Any amount helps, and if you're not in a position to give - just sharing the fundraiser would be amazing.
