I'm Wren's dad Stuart.

Wren has been living with endometriosis and chronic pain since she had her first period. It is a crippling condition that has left her with 10 days a month of crippling pain, largely curled up in a ball, sobbing her heart out.

After so many years of pain, with no clear end in sight and with local doctors saying there's nothing left to do, Wren decided to make an attempt to end her own life. I'll spare you the details but it was a credible attempt, not a cry for help.

After the A&E team cleared her medically, the crisis team also discharged her that day into my care., despite her saying she was disappointed that she had failed. The day after she saw them again and after that meeting they gave a single suggestion, to go to a local charity called Youth Concern that had some drop-in evenings. No formal help. No referrals. nothing useful. I raised a fuss and they agreed a meeting with one of their psychotherapists.

It was a good meeting, 4 days later, and told us what we needed to do and what her issues were.

They sent a letter to the GP apparently, and that's the last we have had in any way from the NHS in 5 weeks.

The only way we can make progress is with private care, as if we wait the two years on the NHS, Wren will finish the job she started.

We need to fund both the Psychotherapy path and the Endo specialists in order to get her well. She will need private surgery, to treat the endo or possibly a hysterectomy.

I am asking those who are seeing this if they can help at all, with raising funds to these ends, to help keep her with us.

To explain the target a little: Surgery can be between 6k and 10k depending on the opp.

Psychiatrist Evaluation is £300.

A psychotherapy session is £50.

Specialist consultations are around £200.

It is really hard watching my little girl so intent on ending her life and we cannot help her on our own.

Update: thanks to people sharing this we have also received useful information on Endo and a guide to specialist treatment costs, so I have changed the target accordingly.
