Hello, my name is Anna Tsypina, and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Anang and Fitri, the dedicated founders of Kebun Kali Code—an independent, non-profit community group in Ledok Tukangan, Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

This is a community that fights every day—not just for survival, but for dignity, health, and hope. And today, they face their biggest battle: access to clean drinking water.

THE CRISIS

• Over 4,000 people in Ledok Tukangan live beside the Code River—but the water is toxic.

• Industrial waste, sewage, and plastic are dumped into the river every day.

• The water contains dangerous levels of E.Coli bacteria.

• Many families cannot afford clean bottled water, risking their health every single day.

• Sickness is common, and cancer rates are rising. Children are most at risk.

WHO IS BEHIND THIS PROJECT?

Fitri and Anang have dedicated their lives to empowering their community.

• During the COVID-19 lockdown, when families struggled to survive, they created an urban farming project, teaching local women to grow organic food and providing free meals.

• They built an alternative school, where elders taught children essential skills, ensuring education even in difficult times.

• They organized community workshops for women, focusing on health, food security, and independence.

But now, their biggest battle is the water crisis—because no child should suffer from a lack of clean water.

THE SOLUTION

The solution is simple but powerful:

2️⃣ Build a Wastewater Treatment System to protect the river and create long-term sustainability.
