Greetings, I am Ilyana Smith, a first-year Biological Science major with a minor in Criminology at Florida State University, with plans to become a Forensic Analyst and Funeral Home Director.

I am excited to announce my participation as Contestant #1 in the Miss Black and Old Gold Scholarship Pageant, hosted by the Iota Delta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

With my grace, passion, and humility, I will carry this platform not with pride in myself, but with a desire to be an active aid to those around me. I plan to educate and emphasize the importance of academics, etiquette, health awareness, and self-care. My overall goal is to challenge negative perceptions placed on my generation and motivate them towards becoming the best version of themselves, pursuing excellence, and turning their highest potential into reality.
