Our lives have been turned upside down after the passing of my husband and my best friend, Robert on Sunday. We are all just so heartbroken.

Asking for help is not something I usually do, and this is not easy for me at all, but I am at the point that just anything will help. We have received help from the family as much as they can do, but we are all struggling at this time.

Now that we have lost an income, everything is starting to pile up. I had been staying home more to take care of him and been with him since he’s been in the hospital, so I have lost income from myself as well in the process, and we were struggling financially as most are in these times. I have applied for financial assistance, but it will take some time.

As some know, we adopted 2 of our grandchildren. Robert’s grandkids were his whole world and he was theirs. But now I am raising two young kids without him. The youngest, Louella, was just diagnosed with a rare bone disease. That also puts more of a financial strain on things. I am reaching out for help to get us through this hard time so that I can continue to give my grandkids what they need and we can get a little bit of a start to getting back on our feet again.
