Expand The Affordable Music Movement

Working While Playing is a 501 C3 charitable organization committed to supporting musicians by providing them with affordable rehearsal and studio space. Founded by Danie Ocean and Adam Monaco in Philadelphia, Working While Playing was born out of necessity when both founders were looking to create an album, but quickly realized it was too expensive. "Being a musician is a costly profession and unless you have a second career to subsidize your musical career, the financial strain, can really take the passion out of your dreams. We wanted to change this, and we wanted to do some good work in the community as well." Every working while playing membership includes a responsibility of engaging in community service. These community service projects range from community gardens, to supporting local businesses, community development centers, and arts programs. Working While Playing and empowers all of its members to be servant leaders as well as powerful artists.
