Hostage US supports Americans taken hostage or wrongfully detained abroad and their families. We provide emotional, legal, financial, mental health, travel, and other free assistance to the families and former captives. We offer services in the non-operational places where support is so desperately needed, and we ease the burden that hostage-taking can bring to a family, organization, and community. These families suffer in silence and returning hostages and wrongful detainees face months or even years of recovery to rebuild their lives. Hostage US offers captives and their families the support they need to survive this terrifying ordeal.
