Barbara's Beacon Buddies are suiting up once again to walk for a cause that’s out of this galaxy — and we need your help!

This Sunday, May the 4th, I’ll be embarking on a 5K (3.1 miles) mission alongside my fellow rebel cousins, Betsy and Barbara, in support of Beacon of Hope Community Services, Inc.

As many of you know, Commander Barbara and her Jedi friends find endless joy, connection, and purpose through Beacon of Hope’s incredible programs. These vital services help individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities thrive — and they need our support to keep the force strong.

A Brief History of the Beacon Rebellion:Born from a grassroots alliance in the 1980s, Beacon of Hope has grown into a powerful support hub, offering evening respite programs that foster social connection, life skills, and independence — while also giving caretakers a well-earned break. Think of it as a Rebel Base for growth, joy, and community.
