Help us to provide lifeguards at Aberdeen Beach

Chris here, from Aberdeen Surf Life Saving Club. After a few years an absence from volunteer beach lifeguard service during the Summer months we are now in a position to put on a weekend service. This has been an amazing journey from what we were around five years ago when our membership was in the low single digits to the present day where we have a club with over 40 members. A voluntary lifeguard patrol needs a minimum of 3 lifeguards/lifesavers to cover a day at the beach. We now have willing volunteers to do this. We have some of the necessary equipment: First Aid kit, Rescue Boards, and radio equipment. What we are in need of is, Patrol Uniform (@~£50 per person) for 10 lifeguards. A defibrillator to add to our First Aid capability (~£1,000) and some rash vests to make us more easily seen when we are out in the water (~£20 each for 10 Lifeguards)
