Hi I'm Leah and I'm the proud mummy to our 3rd child... Sophia Rose Sophia was born at 38 weeks via a planned C-section at Ulster maternity hospital. At our 20 week scan we were told Sophia had a shorter tibia and fibula as well as talpias. It was recommended I had amniocentesis which all came back negative. Sophia entered the world in 19th September 2022 and was quickly taken away by the NICU team to save her life.

Our life has literally been turned upside down. Sophia has been diagnosed with a life limiting syndrome, Campomelic dysplasia.

She lived in NICU in the Ulster hospital for 10 days before being allowed home. She was then rushed back into A&E the next night were at least 15 drs and nurses were quickly working on her to bring her round. We knew then something wasn't right. She stayed in Maynard until 16th October 2022 when the dreaded words were said Sophia is very ill. She was intubation and blue lighted to Royal ICU where she got a tracheostomy. Her life has been saved so many times

My family and I are going to walk 100 miles to raise vital funds for Sophia Rose for equipment for home and help towards a mobility Car to carry all her life support equipment. We can't get any help towards this as she's under the age of 3 years old.

Our Sophia Rose is teaching the world to smile. No matter what has been thrown at her shes fights with a smile of her beautiful we face!
