Help Boy Scouts improve Almaden baseball field
Donation protected
Hey everybody,
My name is Austin Le, and I am currently a high school baseball player in San Jose, California. On June 10, 2023, I will work with Boy Scouts from my troop to rebuild two baseball bullpens for Almaden Little League, as part of my Eagle Scout project.
The two current bullpens at the League’s Juniors Division Field (for ages 13-15) have been in a severe state of dis-repair for a long time. These bullpens are filled with holes and uneven surfaces that pose high injury risk to pitchers. As a pitcher, I have personally lost my footing many times on these bullpens.
My Eagle Scout project will make structural improvements and restore these bullpens to correct dimensions so that future pitchers can safely practice and develop their skills without risk of injury. I chose this project because I want to give back to the League, where I had a lot of fun and developed my skills.
This project requires $3500 for materials (clay blocks, bricks, dirt, new pitching rubbers, new home plates). Labor will be provided by local boy scouts, and adult volunteers.
All of the money raised will go directly to Almaden Little League to purchase materials. Upon completion, the two new bullpens will provide high-school age pitchers with a safe, modern location to develop their skills. Please help fund this ambitious project, which is a unique collaboration between Little League and Boy Scouts of America.
Thank you for supporting this project !!! The next generation of baseball players in our neighborhood will appreciate your contributions for years to come.
