300k November:The Hinge Centre, Opening Doors of Opportunity

Hi I'm Adrian,

I'm raising money in aid of The Hinge Centre in Bridlington and every donation will help.

I’m a week late, however I will completing 300k (186.5 miles) from the 7th November until the 30th November by means of running/walking/jogging and most definitely limping.

Thank you so much in advance for your contribution/share to this cause it means so much to me and to the people/families of Bridlington, your donation will directly supporting the community in so many ways.

What is The Hinge Centre? And what do they do?

The Hinge Centre is a local charity based in Bridlington and has been supporting the local community since 2008. Just some of the ways The Hinge Centre supports the local community is by:

1. Runs a variety of activities aimed at Children and Young People, both in and out of term time. This includes: Creative Kids, Little Chefs, Sports Sessions, and Tea at the Hinge. As well as personal development and opportunities for children and young people to make new friends.

2. Supporting those individuals who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. This includes: sign posting to correct services, assisting with setting up bank accounts, liaison services, support with maintaining tenancies, as well as registering with health providers.

3. Helps those in the local community who have fallen on hard times, or who are looking to create more positive pathways. This includes: checking people and families have their full entitlement, support with council support schemes, appeals to services, well-being groups and support people who need extra support with independent living.

The Hinge Centre also provides emergency food provisions and the local community grocery.

The above is just a fraction of the ways The Hinge support the local community and has a such a greater knock on effect to improving people’s lives.
