30 Mile Dog Walk for American Cancer Society
Driver the dog and I are walking 30 miles to help the American Cancer Society fight for a world without cancer.
About 2 1/2 years ago, I went into the emergency room with horrible abdominal pains. My surgeon found that I was suffering from diverticulitis that was accompanied by multiple perforated abscesses and septicemia. I was in the hospital for a little under a month. About two weeks after being home I was having more abdominal pains. After a CT scan was performed in the ER, my surgeon told me that they would have to reopen my 10 inch, just healed incision. They had found another abscess and a mass on my sigmoid colon. After the surgery, I woke up with a colostomy bag and was informed that I have stage two colon cancer. Long story short… I am currently cancer free, colostomy bag free and I am working on getting my health back.
Driver the dog and I have been walking almost daily at Kit Carson Park in Escondido, Ca. We are hoping that all of our friends would be able to donate any amount to this charity or share with your friends❤️
