3 Peaks in 24 Hours For Johno

Hello wonderful people,

A group of us, six in total, are taking on the daunting challenge of climbing the UK's three highest peaks in just 24 hours. This is taking place on 3rd of August 2024.

It's an ambitious feat, with only 40% of participants managing to conquer all three peaks within the allocated time.

We're not doing this for the thrill or the glory; we're doing it for our dear friend, Adam Johnson, affectionately known as Johno to many of you.

Adam is facing an incredibly tough battle after being diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer.

A little about Johno's journey:

Last year on the 6th of May, at the young age of 40, Adam experienced a seizure whilst driving with his young son, Carter, in the car. Following several tests, he was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, a malignant brain tumour. Despite his brave and resilient spirit, the tumour continued to grow rapidly, forcing the cessation of his chemotherapy treatments.

Now, Adam has shown incredible determination by seeking out potential clinical trials that could offer him a lifeline. These trials, however, come at a significant cost. That's why we're taking on this challenging hike — to raise funds to support Adam's participation in these trials.

Should Adam, unfortunately, be unable to proceed with the trials, any funds raised will be graciously passed on by Kim, Adam's devoted wife, to another deserving individual battling similar circumstances or to charities researching this specific form of cancer.
