Climbing to inspire and empower Más Sueños' mission to create safer, brighter futures for women and children in Mexico

We are The Mountain is Us—a collective of women from across the world taking on bold physical challenges to inspire change, within ourselves and in the communities we connect with.

Last year, we climbed Kilimanjaro in 46 hours, setting out not to break records for glory—but to prove that we are all capable of far more than we think, and to give back in the process. None of us are professional athletes—just ordinary women doing extraordinary things.

This year, our journey continues in Mexico, where we will climb three of the country’s highest volcanoes in just 6 days:

Nevado de Toluca (4,680 m)
La Malinche (4,461 m)
Pico de Orizaba (5,636 m)

Why this cause matters

For each challenge, we partner with a grassroots organization in the host country. In Mexico, we are proud to support Más Sueños A.C., a feminist civil association based in Mexico City.

Más Sueños empowers girls, women, and the LGBTIQ+ community exposed to violence and inequality. Through soccer, education, and psychological support, they create safe, inclusive spaces where young people can grow, heal, and imagine bold futures for themselves.

Their programs include:

“Cancha Violeta” – soccer classes led by women, combined with values training
“Torneos Violeta” – tournaments for hundreds of girls from vulnerable communities
Psychological care and legal services for survivors of violence
Workshops on sexual health, gender equality, and human rights
Training for youth and adults on healthy relationships

With your help, we can strengthen these programs and support over 90 children and teens annually who rely on them.

100% of your Donation goes to Más Sueños

Your contribution will:

Enable the construction of a new aula—a dedicated learning space, so more children and youth have access to education and growth opportunities - missing budget €7,400

By supporting this porject you will

Directly support Más Sueños’ programs in Mexico City and Ecatepec
Help create violence-free spaces through sport and community
Provide mental health care, legal support, and education for girls in need

How funds are transferred

ALL funds will be collected via Go Fund Me and then securely forwarded to Más Sueños in Mexico. This procedure complies fully with GoFundMe’s rules for international fundraising to ensure transparency and proper handling of your generous support.

We will be fully transparent and keep you updated throughout the process.
