Did you know, foster children are often given 3 minutes to fill a trashbag with whatever they can fit before being removed from a home and moved around?
Our immediate goal is to get the first 1,000 totes sponsored and filled with clothes, shoes, undergarments, and basic needs for these kids.
We eventually want to eliminate the option for trashbags from the foster care system. We want these kids to have advocates, supporters, and a community of family.
They can't begin to heal if they are worried about surviving at the most basic level. So. Let's start meeting their needs and then we can work to heal their hurt.
