It’s the Clitheroe Chamber of Trade & Commerce here. We’re the ones who brought back the Torchlight Procession in 2024 for its 50th anniversary.

We have to admit, we were a little overwhelmed with how many people turned out for last years event and as most of us are busy shop keepers, we organised the event with very little time. We were so thankful to both the Town Council and Ribble Valley Borough Council for their contributions to last years event. The community were so supportive of this event and the streets were filled!

This year we want to say a big thank you to Fort Vale Engineering for contributing enough money to pay for the entertainment on the bandstand throughout the day and evening Also, a big thanks to the Town Council who have contributed towards the ongoing expenses of putting this event on

Due to new legislations this year, we have more expenses than last year so this is where you come in. Your continued support and donations will allow us to safely manage this event and enable it to continue for years to come. With more money in the pot, we can keep you safe, build on more entertainment year on year and who knows, maybe one day we’ll be able to afford a ‘London Eye sized’ ferris wheel! (We can dream)
