CHEMO NEEDED FOR 2YO JACOB, TUMOR & KIDNEY LOST
Around his 1st birthday Jacob had been diagnosed with C54 malignant neoplasm on the kidney. He had surgery trying to fully remove the tumor and lost one of his kidneys.
A few weeks ago doctors found a new tumor which is 13cm long and spreading fast. Jacob must URGENTLY travel to Turkey to start Chemo for his 2nd birthday.
The doctors have said there is no guarantee that he will respond to treatment but we all live with hope.
Jacobs parents are Elena and Ilija and he has an older brother. Ilija works as a driver (bread distributor) and has a very small salary of around 250-300 euro/month, Elena is a bank teller and earns 350-400 euro/month. The family have one vehicle and one house in Kochani (Macedonia) which is shared with Jacob's grandparents. Even if they were to sell everything they wouldn't come close to reaching the approx. 100, 000 euro which is needed. Jacob and his parents have to go to Turkey by Friday of next week. His brother will stay in Kochani with the grandparents.
They will stay in Turkey for at least 5 months.
I KNOW WE'VE ALL HAD A TOUGH YEAR AND THESE LOCKDOWNS AREN'T FUN ALTHOUGH IT'S GIVEN US AN OPPORTUNITY TO SPEND SOME MUCH NEEDED FAMILY TIME. LET'S ALL DIG DEEP AND SPARE WHAT WE CAN TO GIVE THIS LITTLE FELLA AN OPPORTUNITY AT LIFE.
