It’s that time of year again! The Regional Tibetan Women’s Association of Minnesota’s (RTWA-MN) annual Halloween Fundraiser event is just around the corner. This year we will be raising funds for both RTWA-MN and the Tibetan American Foundation of Minnesota (TAFM) in support of renovations to the newly purchased Tibetan Community Center in Isanti, MN.
In the past, funds raised through this event have helped us host community events, run initiatives such as making face masks for the community during COVID-19, our annual college scholarships for young women, and much more. While it would undoubtedly be difficult to host an in-person fundraiser this year, we wanted to continue our annual tradition.
TAFM has been the epicenter of our thriving Tibetan community in Minnesota for the last 25+ years and as the community has grown to reach over 3,000 members, this new community center was much welcomed. This new center will allow us to continue preserving and cultivating our culture, language, and community for the generations to come in a space that we can all thrive in.
Before the space is fully operational and open, TAFM anticipates additional expenses such as kitchen equipment, new furniture, a sound system, and much more. Most importantly, the City of Isanti requires the parking lot to be replaced by Summer 2021 with an estimated cost of $200,000. Whether you have previously donated or not, we would greatly appreciate any support for this project benefitting our everlasting Tibetan Community - no amount is too little.
We are very grateful to volunteers who have come together to start the process of renovations, but like all projects, we cannot do this without your help.
This year RTWA-MN will be hosting a virtual Halloween Concert on October 31st at 7pm via FB Live featuring some of the Minnesota Tibetan community’s finest talents.
On behalf of RTWA-MN, we would like to thank you in advance for your support. 75% of your contributions will go toward the renovations while the other 25% will go towards RTWA-MN and our future projects. Please click on the “DONATE NOW” button on this page to help us reach our goal.

Sincerely,
Regional Tibetan Women’s Association of Minnesota
