I am holding the hand of my sister, Imaan, a woman who walked out of her country alive only to carry the dead with her.

She left for what was meant to be a short family visit, never imagining she would become exiled by the intense situation she could only watch from across a border she can no longer cross. Within weeks, her entire world was shattered: her home reduced to dust, her memories buried, and the voices of her loved ones fading into final pleas she will carry for the rest of her life. Two years and three months later, she remains stranded in Jordan, surviving on grief, on faith, and on whatever strength God continues to place in her heart.

In that time, she has stood witness from afar as her home, her memories, her entire world in her home country was reduced to rubble. She listened to the final pleas of over 50+ family members before they were taken from this earth. She carries those voices with her every single day.

Now her father is gravely ill, the cold tightening its grip on his fragile body, and she is helpless to reach him. Her sister, already carrying unbearable grief after losing her husband just last week, is struggling to hold together what remains of their shattered family. Their mother is elderly and exhausted. Another sister wasted away, losing 40kg before her death. Their brother is gone too. One by one, the people she loves have been taken, and through all of it, Imaan is alone in another country with no support system to hold her up.

They are five months behind on rent. Every saving she worked for is gone, poured into survival. And yet, she wakes up every day with dignity, with grace, with a heart still capable of love and laughter.

Imaan is a talented translator, fluent in English and Arabic, desperately seeking work so she can rebuild something, anything, from the ashes of her life.

If you can help support them, offer a job, share an opportunity, or even pass this message on… please do. Sometimes hope arrives through the hands of strangers.

Imaan is now 500 JD in debt. Her rent is 100 JD a month, and she has no way to pay it. On top of this, her young nephew urgently needs an operation costing 1,000 JD, a cost the family simply cannot meet.

If you are able to donate, even a small amount, it could ease the unbearable weight she is carrying and help her family breathe again. Your kindness could be the difference between despair and relief, between fear and a moment of safety.

Sometimes hope arrives through the hands of strangers.

In Imaan’s resilience, we witness a faith that whispers: even in ruins, God is near.

Thank you for your kind support.
