Girls in Action 2025

Girls in Action 2025 Girls in Action 2025 è un progetto umanitario di alpinismo dedicato alle donne che si svolgerà in Hindu Kush (Pakistan) nel settembre 2025.

Siamo un gruppo di sei istruttrici italiane e guideremo 24 ragazze pakistane alla scoperta della montagna attraverso lezioni di arrampicata su roccia, progressione su ghiacciaio, pernottamenti in campi tendati e orientamento con bussola e carta. Particolarmente attente saranno le lezioni su sanità e primo soccorso.

Il progetto promuove l'emancipazione femminile, la consapevolezza ambientale e una frequentazione della montagna rispettosa della sua integrità.

Uno degli aspetti più significativi sarà lo scambio culturale tra istruttrici e allieve, connessione che si svilupperà in modo naturale, con un rapporto di amicizia e collaborazione.

Il corso, della durata di due settimane, è organizzato da Mountain Wilderness International, con l’obiettivo di formare future guide locali, ranger di aree protette ed educatrici ambientali.

Aldilà degli sbocchi specifici, il corso contribuirà ad aprire nuove e in molti sensi rivoluzionarie prospettive per giovani donne troppo spesso relegate, dalle convenzioni sociali e pseudo-religiose, a ruoli subalterni e marginali.

Girls in Action 2025 is a humanitarian mountaineering project for women, taking place in the Hindu Kush (Pakistan) in September 2025.

We are a group of six Italian female instructors, and we will lead 24 Pakistani girls on a journey of mountain exploration through lessons in rock climbing, glacier travel, overnight stays in tented camps, and orientation using map and compass. Special attention will be given to lessons on health and first aid.

The project promotes women’s empowerment, environmental awareness, and a respectful approach to the mountains that preserves their integrity.

One of the most meaningful aspects will be the cultural exchange between instructors and participants, a connection that will naturally develop into a relationship of friendship and collaboration.

The two week course is organized by Mountain Wilderness International, with the goal of training future local guides, rangers for protected areas, and environmental educators.

Beyond specific career paths, the course will help open new and in many ways revolutionary, perspectives for young women who are all too often confined by social and pseudo-religious conventions to subordinate and marginal roles.
