Hi! My name is Melissa but those close to me call me Missy. In the last few days, through my divorce preceedings, I have learned that my estranged husband wants to be granted split custody of our two boys, Justin Dean 7 yrs and Jaxon Cash 5yrs. He wants to remove them from their home with me and place them in his home with him and his mother. There are no aligations for this decision other than he doesn't want to be financially responsible for them through support. I have worked so hard to provide my little family with everything that they need. I have never denied his visitation or devalued his thoughts or opinions on raising our boys.

I have sought legal advice and have found an amazing reputable child advocate lawyer who has a heart for these types of cases. He works closely with children and has been practicing law in Conroe for 20 years. He feels extremely confident in my chances of keeping my family together seeing as though there are zero grounds for asking to remove my children from my home. Unfortunately, I need $1500 to retain him. I am asking for help to reach this financial goal.  The total costs will be $3000 and I am doing all I can to come up with this amount in the allotted time.

My court date is October 18th, 2016 and we would like to meet for mediation before this date.

Everything I do is for my kids. Taking the Smith boys and uprooting them just so you don't have to provide financial support, is calculated and cruel. My family needs to stay together. Period.
