Kyran's Dreams

Kyran was born healthy on 8th June 2003. At the age of 6 his eyesight started to deteriorate after 2 years of different diagnosis's and tests he was diagnosed with Juvenille Battens Disease on 15th March 2011.

This is a very rare neurodegenerative disease that robs the child of their sight before developing seizures, loosing the ability to walk and talk and eventually needing 24hr care before eventually taking his short life. There are only 30-40 children in the UK with Juvenille Batten disease.

Our mission is to make Kyrans remaining years as enjoyable as possible for him and make as many memories as a family as possible while we still can.

Kyran is an avid football fan with his main team being NUFC but he just loves football in general. We recently fundraised and took him to Barcelona fc and now his next dream is Real Madrid.
