Building for a safer tomorrow

Hello, we are David and Tanya Chenoweth and we live with our 6 children and Tanya's mother in northwest Georgia in a 36+ year old mobile home. Shortly after the home was purchased many years ago, we discovered the previous owners had not revealed the extent of the damage that the home had received. As a result, we have been struggling to keep it fit for occupancy ever since. From termite damage, to water damage caused by roofing and siding that had been installed incorrectly, to an addition the previous owner added that is settling lower then the rest of the house, we are facing constant repair bills that we have been unable to keep up with let alone finish.
Because of the damage, our family has had increasing illnesses that seems to never leave us. Our youngest son has been to the ER multiple times over several years due to breathing issues, and it is not just him. All of us are having problems with our over-all health, especially with constant sinus drainage, coughing, headaches and memory issues.
We were on track saving up for a new home when David lost his job. Because of this, we lost all our savings. David is employed once again, for which we are truly grateful, but we are not at the same level financially that we were before he lost his job. We are now unable to save the necessary money to purchase a home. 
 Our efforts to move have been foiled for now, we have decided to turn our efforts to rehabilitating our home as best we can. We aren't afraid of hard work, so most of the physical labor (short of electrical work and other such labors that require special equiptment) will be provided by us. We will be posting pictures of our progress, so stay tuned!
 We hope that, by our effort and your help, to be able to have a sound and stable home in a year or two of hard work. Onward to a better, safer home!
