On 9/14/2016 Joshua and Kimberly Hamblen welcomed Thomas Hamblen to their family. Tragically a couple days after the birth Kimberly unexpectedly passed away.
Baby Thomas was born with a heart condition called "Tetralogy of Fallot", (several different heart conditions) and will require several different heart surgeries. He has been in the Cardiac ICU since birth. Thomas weighed at birth 4lbs 3oz and now weighs 4lbs 5oz.
Kimberly and Joshua were high school sweethearts. After the death of their first child, who died at birth, they looked forward to welcoming a new baby boy to their family.
This is a time of great difficulty and transition for Joshua while he makes preparations for the tough decisions ahead. Joshua is currently working 4 hours away from the hospital in Denver and is driving back and forth to see Thomas, while also trying to cope with the death of his wife. This fund will be used to help Joshua spend as time with his son and cover all of the unexpected expenses.
Our entire family is saddened by the loss of Kim . We pray that Baby Thomas's surgeries are successful and we will be blessed with the opportunity to see him grown into a strong young man. Thank you for your love, support and prayers.
