Bunton Family Reno

Donation protected

John Gerard Bunton was killed in a motorcycle accident on May 18th, 2016.

He was taken suddenly and through no fault of his own. He was a healthy man looking forward to a long life, a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, colleague and mentor to many.

Dad has always worked hard to provide for the family, and he was always dreaming of new ways to improve the so far partly renovated family home. When he had time off we'd work together on renovations, slowly but surely making progress and imagining a beautiful home that his grandchildren could one day enjoy.

He was on self funded long service leave at the time. After winding down for a few months he began planning the next big push before moving on to his next job. We decided to start by painting the fence that had been unpainted for quite a few years now! Dad was at Bunnings looking at paint colours minutes before the accident.

Once the dust settled we were overwhelmed by the praise and respect conveyed by those Dad had helped over the years. It became apparent that many who knew him well wanted to make sure his plans for the renovations were realised.

Almost 3 years have now passed, and we've been able to get some of the small unfinished jobs done – however there is still a long way to go.

This page will be closed down in a few weeks, so we hope that one final push can get us to the goal. So please share this page with anyone who knew Dad.

Thank you all so much for your donations and kind words.

Joanne, Sean, Joshua and Joseph Bunton.
