Putting my pride aside and reaching out to my community…
About a few weeks ago, my car broke down. I had to dip into my savings to fix it, and of course, every time I thought it was handled, more issues came up. Alongside paying for groceries, diapers, and bills—
A few days later, I was hit with pneumonia in my right lung. Even breathing hurts some days, and with dancing being such a big part of my life and I recently danced, it really did take a toll on me physically. But at the end of the day, I have to do what I have to do to keep pushing forward.
I’m the sole provider for my wife and our two kids. I was let go because I couldn’t make it to work without my car, relying on my brother-in-law to get to interviews to get a job. Needless to say,
This has been a tough few weeks and while it’s not easy for me to ask, I’m reaching out to my community for a little help to keep us afloat. Anything you can do—whether it’s donating or even just sharing—means a lot to me and my family.
