Hi Everyone!
Scot and I have been married for 19 years and together for 26. We have 3 beautiful children. Mia (our angel in heaven), Emory (6), and Maddox (5). After we lost Mia, we struggled for 3 long years to concieve, during which time adoption was laid on our hearts. We decided we would adopt Internationally and hoped our little one would come from Guatemala. Right after we started the process, Guatemala closed all adoptions to the U.S., which crushed those hopes, but we knew God had bigger and better plans. To our surprise, right after the closure of the adoptions in Guatemala, we found out we were pregnant with our second daughter Emory. When Emory was 9 months old we found out that we were pregnant with our son Maddox. What a wonderful surprise. They have filled our hearts with the joy we weren't sure we would ever be able to feel.
Over the last few years we just knew Guatemala would open back up adoptions to the U.S. Unfortunately, they are still closed. We really still felt the call to adopt so we decided to adopt a little girl from China, whom we plan to call Ellis. We have just started the process with CCAI out of Colorado and are so excited about what the future of our family holds with this precious, new addition.
As most of you know, International adoption is expensive. There are agency fees, home studies, placement fees, court costs, legal fees, travel....when all is said and done, we will likely be incurring $30,000-$35,000. We are asking for your prayers. Specifically for those taking care of our sweet Ellis, strength and patience for us during this long process, and that the process goes as smoothly as possible.
We want to thank everyone who is willing to take this journey with us. We love each and everyone one of you and thank you for any donations you make to help us bring Ellis home. Please share with anyone you think would be touched by our story and could be touched by little Ellis in the future!
