My name Is Lucas Romano and I am a Boy Scout from Troop 1776 out of Neshanic, New Jersey. I have been involved in Boy Scouts since first grade and it has been a big part of my life. I started in Cub Scouts getting my Arrow of Light and moving into Boy Scouts where I advanced through the ranks. After reaching Life Rank at the age of 13, I spent several months thinking about what I should do for my Eagle project. I wanted it to be something that was important to me and beneficial for my community.
My Eagle project is to build an outdoor fitness course around Woodfield Park which is a local park in my town. I am a very active person, playing on many sports teams as well as backpacking and camping with my Troop. This course will include many parts of a fitness routine, such as walking / running, strength training (pull-ups, push-ups, etc), stretching and much more. Many families in Hillsborough already use Woodfield park as a walking trail and for various sports. This outdoor fitness trail would build on the walking trail to provide other fitness opportunities and also incorporate the Tenderfoot physical fitness rank requirements.
The money that you donate will go to buying the actual stations that will be purchased in Spring / Summer of 2017. The stations will come ready to be assembled, I will need to put them together and install them.
Scouting has been a big part of my life and I want to use that to be able to give back to my community in several ways. If you choose to donate I am very thankful. This project will greatly benefit my township. Thank you for your time and donation.
