Volunteering in Ukraine
Donation protected
No words can describe the harsh realities and emotions the Ukrainian people are facing in the world today. What seemed to be an unspeakable event turned into a terrible reality.
Not all of us can help in the same way, but we can all do something to have impact. Relieving the suffering of just one person, if even for one meal, one night, is of great value.
I have a unique opportunity to use my time and talents to travel to the Polish/Ukrainian border. I’m excited to help with my boots on the ground and cannot get there fast enough!
I will be flying to Krakow Poland, on the 14th of March, renting a vehicle for two weeks and transporting small families from the border near Przemyśl to safer, less saturated communities in different areas of Poland.
In addition to driving refugees and providing transportation for families, I will be volunteering shifts I’ve committed to through Chef José Andrés World Central Kitchen, ongoing event cooking for and providing warm, nutritious meals to refugees fleeing from Ukraine.
Please donate as little as $20 or as much as you can afford. Anything truly helps.
If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to ask. I am keeping a daily journal of the people I help and will share with all of you.
Thank you so much for your faith in my volunteering travels.
