Xaviers story

Hey, my name is Angie.
On the 21st of October 2024 my partner Daniel and I welcomed our little warrior Xavier.
Xavier was born with a rare heart condition called CCTGA, a large VSD (hole in his heart), a blockage and braydiacardia. Soon after birth he was taken to the Royal Children's hospital melbourne, where he still continues to get the best of care.
CCTGA - Is where the 2 bottom chambers of his heart are reversed in utero. Which also means his heart doesn't pump the way a normal heart should. So his heart is pumping too much blood to his lungs and not enough to his body. Which has resulted in him having a shunt put in to help flow the blood to where it needs to go.
He has also had a tiny little pacemaker put in.
Our little warrior has had his ups and downs. He has been on ecmo (life support) twice. The first time due to the shunt blocking. And the second time the doctors are unsure why. During the first round of ecmo he had a mini stroke. The second round he cardiac arrested.
His poor little body has done so much fighting for only 10weeks old now!
The doctors and nurses at RCH are amazing and supportive!
Unfortunately due to Xavier being in Melbourne, Daniel has had time away from work, which is now taking its effects. With 2 other children at home and the travelling, with bills still coming in we are starting to feel the pinch financially.
If you can spare a couple of dollars we would be truly grateful! To help put towards our bills and travelling expenses.
