Enrichment Camp Leadership- Shad Valley

I would like to introduce to you a prestigious Canadian award-winning summer program designed to provide a transformational experience for exceptional youth: the Shad Valley program. After careful selection by faculty at universities across Canada, I've been selected to attend this summer's program. Shad Valley focuses on the importance of innovation, leadership and entrepreneurship, equipping Canadian youth with the knowledge and skills to make a difference in the future.

Hi I'm Claudia, I am 15 years old and live in Lethbridge, Alberta Canada. I will be spending a month at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, there I will be living on campus and participating in this challenging enrichment camp.


What I hope to get out of attending Shad Valley?
I hope to obtain leadership skills that will help me in the future. This camp also provides an opportunity to meet and work with other like minded youth in order to tackle and solve problems together. In addition to this, Shad Valley provides opportunities for public speaking, as well as several scholarship options.

I will be fundraising to cover the cost of tuition for this month long summer program (July 2013). For every $100.00 raised I will commit to volunteering within my community as a way to give back. I have met with and plan to begin volunteering at our local Humane Society. I aspire to become a veterinarian, and am concerned with animal welfare, I have always been passionate about caring for and protecting animals.
