A close friend of mine is rebuilding her life after leaving an abusive relationship. Her former partner was her primary source of financial support, and when the relationship ended this month, she was left without resources for rent.

She currently needs to to secure safe housing by April 1 where her former partner cannot know her location For this GoFundMe, she must also remain anonymous for her safety but I can provide personal information when asked directly if donors want peace of mind.

While she works to grow part-time work into full-time, she has applied for help through County Social Services and a State Office of Victim Services, but these programs take time to process and cannot provide immediate help with the March rent and immediate relocation she needs.

We're seeking $6,500 to help her:

I know firsthand how critical community support can be during a crisis—I once received help through similar means during a difficult time in my life. Now I want to pay that forward by helping her when she needs it most.
