Hello, my name is Khanika Harper, and I’m a proud student in the Women with Skills program, taught by Erion Johnson, founder of the Youth Builders - Tiny House Project here in St. Louis.

I’m starting this GoFundMe to help ease the financial burden of keeping these incredible programs running.

These are completely free programs that give women and youth hands-on training in construction, carpentry, electrical work, and other life-changing trades. Everything we use — from wood, nails, drywall, and windows to tools, safety gear, and even meals — is provided at no cost to us, the students. But the cost to keep these materials coming is very high.

These programs have become a lifeline for many of us, especially after the EF3 tornado on May 16, 2025, which devastated parts of St. Louis and left many students and families displaced. Despite the challenges, these classes have continued to bring hope, purpose, and skills to rebuild not just our homes, but our lives.

Every donation, big or small, helps empower women and youth to build brighter futures for themselves, their families, and our community.
