I am Reverend Gwenevere Bridge, a graduate of the Center for Sacred Studies, Earth Song Clan. I am a healer of Spirit and Heart for people and animals, and have been my entire life. It’s a soul-calling; a deep dedication, and I have also been committed--from a very young age--to be a caretaker of this beautiful Earth and the next seven generations. This past year, I have been independently helping out with First Nation causes via my own funding and resources, and I have now come to a point where I need assistance.


Now is an important time, as more physical presence and supplies are needed to help the Sovereign nations take a stand against corporate greed and corruption. The funds raised will go toward the supplies needed for me to journey to Standing Rock and help at Sacred Stone Spirit Camp, which is the heart of Prayer for the sacred waters and the next seven generations to have clean drinking water and healthy food. I will be there for a minimum of four days to help however I can, pray with the people, make my presence known, and bring as many supplies as I can. Also, if I can raise the funds, I’d like to share the journey with more people, possibly renting a bus and creating a tent community presence. I also intend to film and document the stories of those willing to share. I truly feel this can be a cultural turning point for us all if the word spreads and they halt the pipeline. This is not just their problem--it is OUR problem, and they are standing in prayer for all of us amidst the corruption. None of us should stand for poisoned water. We should all be concerned for the future of our children and the children to come.


Ideally, I can bring a larger group with me, but this will require more people to take time off paying jobs for just over a week, and we’d need more supplies, including donations. I will be praying the funds materialize quickly, as the timing is now and the call for more people is critical, as they are deliberating in the local courts as we speak and the more public pressure, the better the results. The goal is to be on the road to North Dakota on September 26th- this day will be optimal for getting out there to help quickly and bring an Elder along as well. There will be room for more people as more funds are raised and any overflow will be donated Live and on the ground in North Dakota. Everything raised will be distributed with Love and Wisdom.  Why is this so meaningful to me? Human life and natural resources are clearly valuable and need to be treated with dignity and respect! The waters and the land are sacred and we all need to come together over this cause.

These are times of great struggle, but we can turn things around with true, passionate grassroots effort. WE can all make a difference, and the First Nations that are putting themselves at risk for all of us need to see us standing up for them. We have the blessing of calling ourselves Americans, but this was their home before we arrived and we need to give back to them what was taken and take care of the caretakers themselves if we are to see a worthwhile future.
