Volunteer Trip to Kenya

I am embarking on a trip to Kenya in May 2011 as a part of a University Volunteer Project.

During this trip we will be committed to working with a variety of elementary age students in the area surrounding the city of Nakuru in southwest Kenya. We expect to touch the lives of some 4,000 Kenyan school children through a variety of recreation programs based in Kenyan schools.

Additionally, we hope to be able to supplement meager sports equipment available to associated schools as well as other necessary supplies that will benefit the children.

We will be staying at a dormitory at a home for abandoned babies in Nakuru where we will volunteer our time and hours to parentless children in Kenya as well.

Please help me raise the funds necessary to pay for my travel, room, and board fees. All funding that exceeds the $3,500 goal will go directly towards supplies for the children in Nakuru by means of equipment and items needed for daily health and wellness.

Your support is greatly appreciated. Any monetary donation will be wisely utilized. We are also seeking donations of sports goods and monetary funds to ship the collected items to Nakuru.
