Removal of Holly Thacker & Tim Oden

Over the past year, Board President Dr. Holly Thacker and Board Member Tim Oden have done tremendous damage to the Cuyahoga Heights School district.
Their actions include, but are not limited to:
- Wasting $33,000+ taxpayer money on an illegal secretive investigation used to slander a well-known and well-respected resident, parent and coach.
- Using their private email accounts to conduct board business while allowing one of the board's law firms to alter legal bills in an attempt to trick the school's Treasurer into paying the wrong legal firm.
- Hiring an outside PR firm at a cost of $2,000 per month and then using that PR firm to circulate board driven propaganda.
- Non-renewing an employee who requested whistle blower protection after contacting the school's Superintendent. That employee was replaced with a new employee who is making roughly $28,000 more annually. Both Thacker and Oden were named in the whistle blower's allegations.
- Allowing a private citizen to sign a student's diploma in the place of the Board President and then lying about the situation at a public board meeting.
- Trying to limit public participation by changing board meetings to early in the morning on weekdays, moving board meetings to smaller venues outside of the district and restricting public comments during board meetings.
Most recently, both board members voted to place the school's Superintendent on administrative leave without providing the community any explanation.
Last year alone, board spending on general counsel increased to approximately $14,000 per month (up from less than $1,800 per month between 2004-2010).
The money raised from this campaign will help fund legal efforts aimed at removing both Dr. Holly Thacker and Tim Oden from their positions on OUR school board. Any addition funds raised that are not used to cover legal fees will be donated to the Cuyahoga Heights Athletic & Music Boosters. We must act now before these two individuals damage our school district for future generations of students.
