Custody Battle, Law Fees

My name is Jessica Lynn Veronica Boudreau Lane. I am 31 years old and currently going through a very ugly custody battle for my kids. My oldest is Tristan, who is 3, and my youngest is Merek, who is 1.
I am up against a rich family, who has more money than dirt. My “husband” is divorcing me and attempting to take full custody of my kids from me, because he knows I cannot afford to defend myself. He is purposely trying to bankrupt my family.
To give you a bit of a back story, I left my soon-to-be X-husband when he first started showing signs of aggression towards me and my kids. Two years ago, we were going through the divorce process during my pregnancy with Merek. I was awarded custody, but decided to stop the process and give him a second chance. I thought he could change, and that it would be best for the kids to have both parents in their life. I was wrong. I should have just signed the papers and been done. He has only shown more aggression towards the kids, and now I have lost them in Temporary Orders. We were going through a councilor to mediate, but it was not going his way, so he decided to take me to court for a second time, knowing I was still paying off a family loan from the first case. We still have this new trial coming up, and I am afraid of how much it is going to cost me.
The money is 100% to pay for lawyer fees.
There is no current date that is set for the trial, but bills are stacking up, and I know more are coming my way before this is over. I have already spent $5K on lawyers’ fees using borrowed funds. Loans which I need to pay back, and more is needed before this is over.
Ask yourself this... How far would you go to keep your kids safe? What would you do for them? I am a Mother who has done nothing but try and protect these kids to the best of her ability, and for that I am being punished. My kids are my world, without them life has no joy. There is emptiness in my heart that cannot be filled.
Please, I beg of you to help me. I do not know what more to do, but I cannot give up this fight, I will not allow my kids to continue to be in the hands of evil. I hate to ask for money from those who might be pressed for cash themselves. I know how it is to struggle for funds. But I would spend every cent on this earth if it meant saving a life, especially my kids’ lives.
Help me, help them. Please.
