Manhattan Beach Open Fundraiser for LA and Maui

Join AVP stars and legends of beach volleyball in ending hunger in our community! Beach Nation, Wilson, and the AVP are teaming up for the Manhattan Beach Open to collect non-perishable food and donations for the Westside Food Bank and the Maui Food Bank.

Westside Food Bank services the west side of L.A. County, which is home to nearly one million people. Over 200,000 people in the area struggle to either afford or access nutritious food.

Maui County is currently in repair from the devastating wildfires in Makawao, Kula, and Lahaina. The city of Lahaina is completely gone due to powerful winds (70-100mph) from a passing storm and has horrifically claimed the title as the deadliest wildfire in modern U.S. history. People lost everything; homes, cars, businesses, pets, and family members. This will be a marathon to restore what has been lost and we want to do our part.

This partnership is in perfect alignment. Each organization benefits and services South Bay communities. Beach Nation makes opportunity possible by inspiring the human spirit, teaching life skills and empowering people through sport and education. Wilson strives to empower their athletes on and off the court, and the AVP works to leave our beaches, and communities, better than we found them.
