Raleigh Firefighters United is a group that represents 400+ firefighters, their families, and concerned citizens of Raleigh, NC. We are raising money to purchase billboards throughout Raleigh to inform the community of our continuing struggle with the city for fair wages and to encourage the mayor and city council members to support public safety employees.  The salaries for Raleigh firefighters are significantly lower than similar departments when compared locally and nationally. Year after year we have been denied raises. The city's top executives have received hefty increases while some firefighters rely on public assistance to make ends meet. We are hoping to raise enough money by Sept. 1st to have the billboards up by mid-September. We appreciate any support that we receive.
